One week (2020)
As part of the design challenge for 7 days, I redesigned the existing Amazon shopping app to enhance the group purchasing experience more accessible and frictionless. The following is the final slide for the product design process from research to high-fidelity prototype.
It was the first time for me to re-design an existing application and studying e-commerce product in-depth as well. From this project, I learned that for re-designing, it is critical to first understand the goal and design rationale behind the existing product. Being able to probe into the details is important, but having a wholistic perspective of perceiving a bigger picture and core framework of the product is where I can grasp the fundamental design intention and product goal. Having these eyes is what allows me to spot on the right problem that’s more necessary and meaningful.
